The all-electric truck has a starting price of $39,900 and a refundable pre-order fee of $100. At the unveiling, Cybertruck's "shatterproof" armoured glass windows had shattered after the company's design chief hurled a metal ball at them to prove their durability.

Japanese automaker Nissan has recalled nearly 4,00,000 cars in the US over concerns of a fire hazard. Nissan said a braking system defect could leak brake fluid into the internal circuit boards and may, in "rare instances", lead to a fire if leak warnings sent to drivers are ignored. No such incident with its cars has been reported so far.

California-based startup Karma Automotive unveiled its hinge-winged all-electric concept car 'SC2', that can deliver 1,110-horsepower and go from 0 to nearly 100 kmph in 1.9 seconds.
